Ready for a BREAK!!!

Can I get an amen. . . maybe from those going to school. It is finals week and I should be studying for my upcoming final on Thursday, but I am just too tired to. Mike had a final on Monday and his last one tomorrow. I only have the one on Thursday. On top of school, we have both been working like crazy, more so Mike, but it is end of year and that means lots more work at Hycomp for me. Mike has had to work the last couple Saturday's, which meant not much time for us to spend together. Boo:( So I decided to work last saturday while he did to try and catch up at work and get a little extra moula. I have to say that I don't like it. I didn't feel like I had a weekend, it was just right back to work for a new week. I don't how people work everyday of the week?

I don't think much as been going on since last time. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. My brother Mark and Natalie had it at their house this year so that my mom didn't have to worry since she isn't fully recovered from getting her knees replaced. They know how to cook one mean turkey, mmm, delicious, I want more now please. . . . Then we headed over the mountain to Mantua to spend some time with Mike's family. We always have a good time there. We ended up playing a couple rounds of Catch Phrase, which is always comical with the Losee's.

I can't believe that Christmas is in 10 days. It seems like this year has flown by way too fast. I love the holiday season, but I am missing the snow, darn rain. . . I only wish that this time of year wasn't so much of the presents. I love to just do things for others, spend time with family laughing and talking. I have had kind of a hard time getting into the spirit this year so far. The public makes Christmas too commercial. I have to keep reminding myself about the true mean of Christmas. Christ. Our Savior was born. Maybe reading the real Christmas story will help me out.

We hope everyone has a wonderful and joyful holiday season full of love and happiness.

My newest inspiration. . .

I want to make a version of this very, very bad. I think that this shirt is adorable. I guess we will see how good my sewing skills are??? Stay tuned, maybe if it's good enough I will show everyone my mad skills.!.!

The happenings of the Losee's so far have been minimal. School has begun and so now Mike and I don't have much of a life. Mike is busy with history and Math (I'm not a very good tudor in math, I don't remember that far back). He works hard at school and work, I don't know how he does it? I'm in my Social Work program now and loving it. There is so much to learn, but I couldn't be happier with the path that I have chosen.

I have been feeling very crafty lately and have started a bunch of sewing projects but have yet to finish them. I will get all excited about a new skirt that I want to make and get it 3/4's of the way done and then want to start a new project. Needless to say there are a bunch of half done skirts and dresses at our house. Poor Mike. I have been wanting to start making cute skirts for little girls and selling them, but who knows when I would have time. My latest that I want to try are:

What do you think? Cute or Not? Let me know.

Race Time!!!!!!

The time has finally arrived. Mike's first Kart race of the season. He is so excited and so am I. For those of you who don't know, Mike and his brother Cameron race go karts at Miller Motor Sports Park in Toole. Racing is his passion and I love to watch him. He enjoys it so much. He is supportive of everything that I do, so it is good for me to get to help him out anyway I can. Granted I don't know very much about go karts, but I'm learning. I couldn't ask for a better way to spend my weekend, than with Mike and a little dirt and grease:)

One Year!!!

Mike and I have made it one year!!! This past year has gone by so fast. I am so gratful for Mike and all that he does for me. I don't quite know where I would be if it wasn't for him. He is my strength that gets me through each and everyday. I love him so much and couldn't ask for a better, more loving husband. He teaches me by his example everyday. I know how much he loves the gospel and what a strong testimony he has. We are a truly blessed family and I can't wait to spend the rest of eternity with him.

We didn't get to do much for our anniversary, unfortunately Mike has Mono. He is on the uphill battle, but he is still so tired. Maybe this next couple of weeks we will be able to go do something fun.

Life couldn't be better, well maybe it could, but life is good. Mike's dad is home and doing really good. He still gets really tired but at least he is able to be home and get back to his normal life. The month of May is birthday month. My sister Heather, Natalie, my mom, and Mike's brother Cameron. So gratful for our families. They help us in so many ways and we love them all so much!!!

Summer is fast approaching and Mike hasn't been able to race his Go-Kart yet. I feel so bad, that is what he loves to do. Hopefully soon we can get him out there racing. I love summer and being able to do so many fun things. This summer I'm hoping to be able to go to Bear Lake a ton, get some camping in, and maybe so road trips. We will see what the summer brings. For now Mike and I are just glad to be done with another semester of school and be able to relax for the summer.

Update and Projects

Thought I would just do an update about the pops in law. On Monday Scott had a heart pump put in. It is an open heart type surgery where the doctors connect the pump the his left ventricle. He no longer has a pulse, crazy huh. Anyways, everything went better than planned. On tuesday they had him up and walking, which is crazy to me, but the sooner the better. Needless to say he was worn out today. It is going to be a long long road, but we have already been blessed so much from our Heavenly Father and I feel that it is all going to work out perfectly. We all just keep praying for the best.

I finally took some pictures of the projects that I have been doing while I am a widow at night. Those of you who don't know, Mike works swing shift, so I am alone at night and get bored. I have resorted to crafting. Here are some of my attempts.

Very Long Overdue

I'm sorry that I am so bad at blogging. I just have all the links to my friends and my crafty blogs that I forget that I need to update mine too.

What has happened since the last time I posted. Alot actually, but how do I fit it all in. Well lets start with Mike and I. We just hit our 10 month mark, exciting. We are still loving being married. We really wish that we could see more of each other, but I try to keep myself busy doing crafts and sewing and such things. Needless to say I eat alot and go out to my parents alot. They sure are great to let me use their washer and dryer though. Thanks mom! Mike and I got back from vegas the first of the month. We went down the the nascar race, Mike is a big, big race fan. We also went and saw the World of Outlaws. So much fun. I got dirt in places that I never new that I could get dirt. While in Vegas we went to the wax museum and shopping, didn't have much time for anything else though. Just a weekend getaway. We were actually the guests of the day that the Hilton Garden Inn that we stayed at. That was exciting. We got a bag full of goodies.

Some not such good news. Mike's dad has been in and out of the University of Utah Hospital with heart troubles. Just before Valentine's Day Mike's mom called us and asked if we would go check on Mike's dad. He had pneumonia for a month and just wasn't getting better. We get there and he is not looking good at all. We drove him down to Ogden Regional. We found out there that his heart was only working at 10% and his blood pressure was throught the roof trying to compensate. He was life flighted down to U of U were his heart doctors were. He is home now, they put a defibulator on his chest that will give him a shock if his heart changes its beats. They are planning on putting a pump in him that will give him a constant pump, which means that he will no longer have a pulse. Weird to me, but if it will help keep him with us until he can get a heart transplate then it will be worth it. He has been so strong through all of this. Mike's mom is just amazingly strong and courageous. I don't know how I would deal with all of this.

Having this happen has made the family come together so much. We have all realized how important family is and not to take anything for granted. I love Mike so much and am so proud of everything that he does the help his family.

I guess that it is all for now. I will try to be better and post some pictures of our trip and my family. My neices and nephews are growing so big.
